Dry fly action is heating up on the Snake and the South Fork in typical pre-runoff fashion. Most of this is has been on midges and BWO patterns, but every now and then, the hook-ups are on larger surface patterns imitating skwalas, which we are now starting to see a few of. In a couple of weeks, production on these flies should really start in earnest. When the runoff starts this year is a shot-in-the-dark as always, but hopefully we have a few more weeks of this action.
